DISARM: NEW YEAR, NEW USE

An exhibition of M-16 rifles that have been transformed into new forms. Over the course of three weeks, I transformed these weapons of death into anti war statements that at first glance would almost appear as normal objects. I wanted to take the viewer by surprise with these concepts, that were made into every day objects, an oversized corkscrew, a fishing rod, a remote control truck (and you bet, it drove), I had an iPad sound dock with speaker components and a 1950’s style blender. These 5 statements joined 40 others in a touring exhibit that was featured on CNN, ABC, and CBS.
